Hi there! I'm Darlene, the maker behind Great Lakes Beerings. I was born and raised in West Michigan and am proud to be able to highlight some of our wonderful breweries with my creations.
My career as a Labor and Delivery nurse has brought me immense joy. Helping families bring new life into the world is a beautiful experience I've had the pleasure of doing for over 15 years. But on my days off, my passion turns to making Beerings. I never realized how beautiful the artwork on a can of beer could be.
The Roots
like father, like daughter
I discovered Beerings at a craft fair in another state and fell in love. It reminded me of my Dad. He was always using his hands to build and create. In retirement, he started building airplanes, racecars and trucks out of beer or pop cans. They became treasured reminders of a wonderful man who is missed. I'd like to think he'd be proud of my creations.
